Oh Saturday. 12”+ of snow yesterday made the perfect backdrop for a hot tub soak with my honey. Absolutely dreamy.

Enjoyed walking our trail over Christmas break. So excited that we now have access through and around our little forest! All of those hours of tree clearing and brush clean cleanup were well worth it. This should be the perfect snow-shoeing trail!

Hello 2020! We are now ready to greet you. Looking back on the last year, it was one of getting settled. We truly settled into our new home, we sold the RV, Lexi got her drivers license and car, Angie got her first job, the kids all found a sport to excel in, Brendan fell in love with the guitar, we started our chicken flock and we cycled through the seasons learning more about our land. It was a sweet year filled with lovely memories. I’m excited to see what adventures lie ahead with these three nutty teenagers!

We are finally surfacing after a lovely Christmas and a horrible visit by the stomach flu. I love how different each season is and how there is always so much to learn. I still have cards to mail on my desk and ornaments that were not hung...recipes that were not baked and stories unread. Those will save for next year. For this Christmas I’ll savor the memories of laughter and smiles, 5 teenagers decorating gingerbread cookies in my kitchen, great feasts and intimate moments. We are thankful, so thankful. And our home-grown tree turned out just perfect when all lit up!
